# Affine IDE 0.2.6.5 β — the substrate on your Mac **Public beta. Apple silicon. Same apex the browser already uses — now as a native Mac client.** ![Affine IDE 0.2.6.5 beta — live ADS-B scope beside FAA airport-surface camera, with chat narration on every turn](../images/affine-ide-020-beta-atc.png) --- ## The beta unlocks the game you already play — on the desk where you work Affine IDE is how UUM-8D language games land on a Mac: domain stages that look like the tools experts already trust, live data on the wire, and a chat that narrates every present and fold in plain language. Not a dashboard. Not a toy. The court you know — seated next to you. ### What players get in 0.2.6.5 β - **Live ADS-B language games** — real tracks on an ATC / OpenScope stage, with failover that stays honest when a feed drops. - **Immersive airport-surface camera** — photographic stills on the runway pane when a public cam exists; mismatch labeled when tracks and surface disagree (no fake KJFK runway JPEG). - **Domain stages that feel native** — Mol*-class protein cartoons, ATC scope, CARTA-class sky, TDWR / weather panes — Orbit, Pan, Zoom, residue controls where the study asks for them. - **Chat narration every turn** — what the stage is showing, in words a human can follow, under the stage where the work happens. - **Live chrome translate (0.2.6.5)** — status-bar language control; same MCP `affine_translate_text` path as the home language pills — not a baked dictionary. - **Mac-native Swift** — Apple silicon, Developer ID signed, one DMG, same `affine.earth` membrane the browser opens. ![Protein folding stage — dual pane, residue controls, coding agent under the stage](../images/affine-ide-020-beta-protein.png) --- ## Why this matters The browser already proved the courts. The beta puts the **same language games** in a Mac window built for long sessions: studies on the left, living stage in the center, agent under it, domain chrome that stays out of the way until you need it. Open ATC airspace and you see live traffic *and* a surface cam. Open protein folding and you get cartoon geometry with residue focus. Every move writes a story line you can read back. This is Affine.Earth for people who live in domains — ATC, structural biology, materials, shear studies — and want the substrate without leaving the Mac. --- ## Get it | | | |---|---| | **Download** | [https://affine.earth/download/](https://affine.earth/download/) | | **DMG** | [AffineIDE-0.2.6.5.dmg](https://affine.earth/download/AffineIDE-0.2.6.5.dmg) | | **Install notes** | [Affine IDE — beta wiki](Affine-IDE-Beta.md) | | **Language board** | [Language-games study board](Language-Games-Study-Board.md) | 1. Download the DMG · verify sha256 on the [download page](https://affine.earth/download/). 2. Drag **Affine IDE** to Applications · eject. 3. First launch: Control-click → **Open** (see footnote). 4. Open Study → **ATC airspace** or **Protein folding** — and play. --- ## Footnote — signing, not notarization **Developer ID signed. Not notarized yet.** First open needs Control-click → Open → Open again in the Gatekeeper dialog. macOS remembers after that. Honest packaging: we do not claim Apple notarization we have not completed.
